dogs cine is an independent film production
company formed in Montevideo, Uruguay to develop and
promote its own film and video projects.
The company was conceived in the year 2004, when its
founders felt the need to create a space where
producers who shared a common interest –a passion for
making movies– could get together to bring their ideas
to life.
Several of the company’s productions have already
received awards in both national and international
festivals and competitions. In 2006, the animated
feature film (currently under development) “Anina
Yatay Salas” was awarded the Opera Prima prize by the
FONA, Uruguay’s Fund for the Promotion and Development
of National Audiovisual Production.
At present, there are several projects underway that
will consolidate the company as a producer of fiction
and documentary projects, both in film and video
format.
The aim of this website is to generate a space to
communicate with other people with similar interests,
as well as to make our previous and future works known
to a wider audience.
