This screenplay was triggered by the
conviction that, in a sense, we all live our
lives following a model passed on to us at
birth and which we learn not to question,
overwhelmed by our daily problems.
The movie goes from bizarre
humor
to palpable tenderness, with some
comedy-of-manners type moments mixed in with
others that
are
totally surrealist. A
major
incentive for directing “Cabeza Rodante”
is that it provides the opportunity to tell a
story that can entertain viewers and at the
same
time
move them. It’s a challenge and a quest that
is both filmic and personal.
