A rural laborer suffers an accident while working and realizes that within minutes he’ll be dead. During these last moments, absolutely alone and surrounded by a natural environment oblivious to his tragedy, almost devoid of drama, he faces up to the fact that he will die and that there is nothing he can do to change his fate.

“The Dead Man” is a short-film based on the short story of the same name by the Uruguayan writer Horacio Quiroga.
