Three characters travel to a small town where
they will spend New Year’s Eve.
Antonio, a magician that entertains at
local
festivals,
is on his way to the town’s
social
club to do his routine, but halfway there his
car breaks down. With no cell phone on him, he
walks to the nearest highway tollbooth to call
a mechanic. There he meets
Laura,
a lonely woman who works in that bleak place.
César is traveling to the same town to visit
his five-year-old daughter Lucía. He plans to
have dinner with his ex-wife’s new family, in
an attempt to win back his daughter’s
affection, even though he knows his place as
father has been filled by somebody else.
Singer Miguel Ángel Molgota has been retired
from the stage following some years of
moderate success. That night he’s preparing
for a comeback at the New Year’s party held at
the
social
club.
